Math Playground: Bar Models
Your task: Use the bar model problems presented here and recreate one of them with the Inspire software.
Your first step today will be to solve the problem on the website. Take a screen shot (command-shift-4) of the very first screen of your fraction word problem, and then each of the screens you see when you click the NEXT button. You'll need these screen shots to help you build your Inspire flip chart.
All of these pieces -- the screen shots and the flip chart -- will be saved in a folder that you create today in your server folder.
Name this new folder "Bar Model".
Re-name your screen shots: bar 1, bar 2, bar 3, etc
Name your Inspire project: (your name)-Bar_Model
Then, find Inspire software in the Applications folder and begin to re-create the steps to solve the bar model problem.
